Generating random Terrain and Region names

Mapping is easy, labeling maps is hard. Region Names randomly creates a name for a region or area of terrain, which you can use as the basis for the location’s inhabitants, resources, or past.

Downloads

The Region Names table is suitable for use with any fantasy-type RPG and is available in TableSmith and Inspiration Pad Pro formats:

  • TableSmith – Region Names
    Download the ZIP file via the link above. Extract into the TableSmith directory on your hard drive. When you open TableSmith, access the tables by selecting the “Chimera RPG” option the “Categories & Tables” dropdown menu. (Download TableSmith)
  • Inspiration Pad Pro – Region Names
    Download the ZIP file via the link above. Extract into the NBOS directory on your hard drive. When you open IPP, access the table by selecting the “Chimera RPG” option in IPP’s Generators panel. (Download IPP)
